and the peoples choice winner will also receive one of these trophies.

but the big trophy is for the Dyno Denominator on the day, which is about 10-12 inches. and would make a nice edition to ones pool room.

**Ultimates JDM'FEST 09 this WEEKEND**

the event is nigh! Yep this weekend is the first ever JDM'FEST which is brought to you by Federal Tyres, Shannons Insurance and of course us.

With interest from all over Australia, and some very tuff cars set to debut new configurations and appearances, this weekend is set to equal good times. The word on the street is to get here early (around 8am) for prime positions and sorting out your registration for the dyno comp if you want to run.

All you need to bring is a little bit of cash a pineapple ($50) should cover it (dyno comp and food) and your car, as the rest of the day should literally just drift away, for those of you who want to take home the peoples choice trophy, the earlier you get in the more votes you will a mass as we will be counting votes at 1;30pm and handing out metal at 2pm. As for thr dyno comp, well not until all cars have been run will we be givng away jack, just so all competitors have a chance at glory.

ULTIMATE 10...staying evolved!

This is the latest edition to our stable, a 2009 Mitsubishi Evolution X, at the moment the car has only received a ECUtek tune which bumped power from a impressive base figure of 164awkw to a very healthy 197awkw, with nothing more then a tune and some very spiffy pin stripping.

We have also just order a turbo back exhaust system and will be slotting in a air intake kit to aid the ten's breathing. The plan is to use this car for R&D purposes, so we can trail various other mods on this puppy, and basically know the best combination of parts to make the most reliable kilowatts per dollar so stay tuned, cause we have some big things planned...can you say GT35(yes please)

Melissa Di Carlo Leading MRA Series

That's right our very own Melissa aka Milo, is currently leading the MRA series heading into it's final round on the 25th of October.

Melissa has only started competing this season in her white EVO VII. After attending numerous track days in her tuff street tuned STi gave her the taste of circuit racing, Melissa and her partner Santino, decided to take the plunge into running a full season of competition, and decided to retire the beloved STi in favour of a EVO VII.

We are encouraging all of you to get out to Wakefield on the 25th of October to cheer on Melissa, for the final race of the season.

Black Label Turbochargers

Ultimates are the sole Australian distributor of Black Label Turbochargers, the company has been around for about 25 years operating a very successful manufacturing plant overseas, and supplying some of the biggest names in the tuning business.

Black Labels biggest point of difference is that they supply fully bolt on kit's to suit EVO's I-III, IV-IX and X, also SR20's and the EJ20 and EJ25 variants of the Subaru Boxer, at reasonable prices.

Another big difference is that Black Label aren't manufactured in China, and quality control is big on the agenda as is development and testing before product release. We have a few cars running around the Australia with these turbo's fitted and have seen some excellent results.

ULTIMATES RX-3 WAGON UPDATE

Okay, so now the heat is on to get this puppy done before JDM'FEST which is only two weeks away!

With the exhaust manifold welded up and bolted into place and the turbo positioned, it's now on to wiring in the HALTECH, and then we have to attempt to run it in and iron out any potential bugs by the 4th ready for the 5th of September.

Say hello, to our DYNO

We have been operating our Mainline Chassis Dynamometer for over 3 years now, and have seen all sorts of vehicles run up on it. so we thought we might as well dedicate a post to our dyno as it's the one that cops the most abuse.

The dyno itself, is made by an Australian company doing big things overseas and nationally with the same dyno being used at MoTec, HSV, K&N Filters and HRT to name a few. With companies and organisations such as these using this same dyno for their multi million dollar outfit's, gives us the peace of mind that although there are cheaper chassis dyno's out there nothing competes with the Mainline for accuracy and reliability, which ensures the best possible results for our clients, and that;s the most important thing in our eye's.

Customer Project: VOYOTA Update

Well the Voyota lives, she will be on the streets in about a week, with a couple of small details to iron out before then.

Project: V8 HOTLINE Update

The Skyline is now in primer, and almost ready to get a lick of paint, and then it's back to us here at the shop so we can start to fabricate up appropriate mounts ready for it's new big cube heart.

The Nissan V8 will get a new lease on life, in our engine room with work set to commence very shortly, and hopefully by next update I'll let you in on a shot of the freshly completed body works.

Customer Car: Brilley's Flash MY07 WRX

This isn't the loudest car or the most powerful, but it is a good lesson in style and how a few choice mods go along way.

This MY07 WRX is equipped with a cat back exhaust and has recently undergone a EcuTek upgrade and HyperFlow cold air intake system to equal a respectable 158kw's at all fours. Combined with a set of nice rims and a HyperFlow engine cover for some much needed under bonnet bling, make this a perfect commuter with a bit a poke.

The customer has some more mods planned for the future such as a HyperFlow top mount intercooler and a Black Label turbocharger upgrade, so watch this space for updates on this, "the gentleman's REX".

Oh my GODzilla!

Well, I bet you didn't know we built tuff RB26's did you? Here's one our favorite clients R32 GTR with a fully built engine and a pair of Garrett turbines, this is one super clean Godzilla that will leave your pants dirty.

ULTIMATES RX-3 WAGON

With JDM'Fest fast approaching everyone is busy either finishing their cars to a drivable state or installing all those bits they have had stored for ages.

One such car is our own RX-3 wagon, it has hit Canberra streets in various forms over the years, but this next transplant is set to be it's most HARDCORE to date.

The only problem is getting everything bolted up and run in before the 5th of September or we'll have to keep the bonnet shut and hope no one asks to see what it's running, (which could be hopes and dreams at this stage!), aiming for a close to 400rwkw's of output and trying to keep the 70's car intact is whole side issue, so if we do the undo able and get this thing up and barking I'll run a full feature on it, as it deserves it!

You'll have to wait and see how this one turns out at JDM'Fest 5th of September at Ultimate Tunes in Phillip!

FEAR NO EVO!

Here is another great moment from our last track day at Wakefield Raceway. The young man behind the wheel of that blue MPS, did a fantastic job on the day to keep pace with a lot of the AWD cars on the day in a vehicle that is notorious for it's torque steer attributes, and to throw in a bit more action a nice greasy track made for a white knuckle day. but huge smiles

That's right we are holding a JAP Show 'n' Shine and Dyno Challenge!

So the rumours are ture we are currently peicing together one uber tuff street brusier! This once totally thrashed but very faithful R33 GTS-T is beening transformed into a very angry Nismo 400R kitted, and custom caged weapon.
